toxic friend?

I went to the up and up tonight with ally to see some friends. first thursday of the quarter and it was INSANE. i have never seen so many people that i know all shoved into a relatively small area. i saw one friend in particular that i'm rather hot and cold with. one minute we can be best of friends and the next, i often wonder out loud why we are even friends in the first place. it is a very exhausting friendship. tonight we were very cold, as she glared at me and challenged why i didn't call her to go out. i tried to defend myself but it was a lost cause. she wasn't listening and walked away midway through the rest of our awkward confrontation. kind of a put a bummer on the rest of my time at the bar.
